Key podcast segment that is very complete in itself. In other words, you really need to watch/listen to the whole segment; that said the Abraham Lincoln quote from 1838 at about the 1m40s mark is a real winner.

Some comments: Prof Husain communicates like an experienced 30-year-old(though he looks 50) but he is very thorough, knowledgeable and sincere on necessary matters. A 50-year-old who acted his age would might have been pedantic.
Like many in the collegiate profession, he tends to think in idealities but life never really works that way. It would be better if professors, generally speaking, tried to predict how events will unfold and work with that unfolding. There are some events that are uncontrollable. What do I mean by this: An example in Steven Spielberg’s 2006 film Minority Report in a scene more toward the end one of the precogs(a woman that can somehow predict the future) ,in an institution, is already tied into by being kidnapped by a potential suspect...
