@KimIversen - On the Venezuelans coming here because they've been granted asylum, how is that any different than all the other ethnicities flooding in from all over the world, including China? Yes, it is an open border issue. Venezuela has been unstable way before the US opened the border and we were not flooded with Venezuelans at the time. People weren't allowed in the country willy-nilly.

Re: University Censorship
This policy, if it stands, will result in the eventual hollowing out of universities of quality educators. At some point they will simply make their own educational institutions. They will be small, they will not have all the fancy buildings the current universities have, so they will lack that fluff. But they will provide better education and therefore better students.
At that point companies will slowly come to an understanding. They'll realize that the people they hire from 'name' institutions are not as innovative and productive as those who were blackballed by them because they were educated by the independent ones.
The latter will go on to start successful enterprises that in their nimbleness and creativity will chip away at the market share of those establishment companies. And when shit starts affecting the bottom line, business will pivot.
