Well, I finished the Dog ramp but Scarlett hasn’t tried it yet. If this works out I’ll build a second ramp for the lower stairs. This way, she only have to get up the top steps. What I did to build this ramp is I bought two ramps, cut one in half, then I used a 2 x 2 on the back to secure the half ramp to the full ramp. Then in order to prevent slipping, I added grip tape to the entire thing because the carpet was too slick for her paws.
You can see other things we previously tried to do to aid her like adding carpet to the stairs and adding grip tape on top of the carpet. Now we’re leveling up with this ramp. Fingers crossed.
I also decided to hang this pendant light I bought about a year ago above our breakfast table. I ended up not liking it when it arrived so I never put it up. But since it was just sitting in my garage I thought I might as well put it up until I find something I like better. My husband loves it. I’m still not sure. I followed all the safety protocols by shutting down the power at the breaker box. I then disconnected the other light starting with the live wire than the neutral wire than the grounding wire and installed this new pendant light starting with the grounding wire working my way to the live wire. I highly recommend you hire an electrician if you’re going to be doing something like this. I also wore Special gloves to prevent electric shock.
I’m also adding photographs of a project I worked on this spring. I built bookshelves using the IKEA Billy series. I added trim and molding. They’re not totally finished and I don’t like the doors but I think it looks pretty good. Our kitchen has no pantry so I needed to really add cupboard space, this did the trick.
These are the types of projects I do in my spare time and yes, I do them solo!
Today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from recommended immunization schedule. Bottom line: it’s common sense and it’s good science. We are now one step closer to realizing @POTUS’s promise to Make America Healthy Again...
Kim,
Listening to your Trump smashes Big Pharma podcast.
As our priorities are currently constituted in the west, it's simply not profitable for Big Pharma to try to cure every disease. In fact their entire business plan revolves around avoiding that possibility. They would rather treat the sickness than cure it because the first makes for return customers while the latter destroys that market.
In short, by their behaviour, there is a strong argument for saying that Big Pharma are the world's worst drug dealers, far more so than any cartel or mob.
