The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making any laws respecting an establishment of religion; prohibiting the free exercise of religion; or abridging the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievance. This Amendment is the core foundation of our Bill of Rights and the Constitution that our free society is based on. It is not number one by coincidence but by priority to prevent tyranny and/or totalitarianism. Gavin Newsome is not only illegally violating that core principle but also his Constitutional oath of office that he unequivocally agreed to uphold.
The last part of your article is the most interesting -
"He was seduced. His association with Epstein is a terrible and, to many, unforgivable stain. It irreparably tarnishes his legacy. If there is a lesson here, it is this. The ruling class offers nothing without expecting something in return. The closer you get to these vampires the more you become enslaved. Our role is not to socialize with them. It is to destroy them"
Yes that is a psychological element not a moral failure. This is key.
Chris, it's as if you were writing this article and as you were writing this article you understood the concepts only as you got to the end of your article. And that's only human too.
And here’s the yahoo link that Mearsheimer posts supporting this article https://sg.news.yahoo.com/whack-mole-us-academic-fights-013940602.html
If deep fake AIs are in video format than that is a massive problem. All of a sudden the notion ‘caught on video’ will have less meaning then eyewitness testimony.
A potential real life sci-fi like problem. Who’s who then? Who could be anyone. The irony is that the original purpose of the internet is that very same notion of anonymity.
I guess this is why AI is the third dangerous global problem behind that of the climate crisis and the most dangerous problem of nuclear war.
The Final Nightly Show
System Update #573 | Friday, February 6, 2025
An end to a really great nightly show - in 20/20 hindsight and not 20/20 bullshit. I look forward to continue to follow Glenn Greenwald on his re-emergence on to Substack, where he was great there as well.
And I also must give a shoutout to Chris Pavlovski the CEO of Rumble who laid out a really necessary and great platform. I am additionally a very happy Premium member of Rumble.
Thanks so much Glenn for the past 5 years on Substack and Rumble!
